Casey Base is a local-first veterinary case-study notebook.

Data Stored by the App

Casey Base stores the case records you enter, including patient details, symptoms, notes, diagnoses, diagnostic test notes, treatment plans, outcomes, tags, and timestamps. This data is stored locally on your device.

The app also stores app preferences, such as appearance settings.

Data Collection by the Developer

Casey Base does not create user accounts and does not send case records to the developer. The app does not use advertising, analytics, tracking, or a developer-operated backend service.

Backups and Import

If you choose Export Backup, Casey Base creates a JSON backup file at a location you select. If you choose Import Backup, Casey Base reads the JSON file you select and applies it to local app data according to the import option you choose.

You are responsible for where backup files are saved, shared, and stored.

Data Deletion

You can delete cases inside the app. You can also remove the app from your device to remove its local app data. On Android, automatic app-data backup is disabled.

Clinical Use

Casey Base is a record-keeping and study tool. It does not diagnose patients, recommend treatments, calculate drug doses, provide medical advice, or replace professional clinical judgment.
